Pokemon moves info

So I figured I should give you guys some information about how Pokemon moves and the learning of new moves work in my story seeing as I base my Pokefic is based more on the anime than the games so lets start of.

Level based moves: The moves Pokemon learn by leveling up in my story, the Pokemon learn not by leveling up but by feeling some kind of power rising in them and then unleashing the move and because this is based on the anime the Pokemon will have a great array of moves as they don`t have the four move limit of the games.

HM and TM moves: Pokemon can learn the TM and HM moves by having them taught to them by either thier trainer or someone else however they don`t learn the move right of the bat, the knowledge is there but to make it more interesting the Pokemon has to be in a situation of some kind where it triggers the knowledge the Pokemon gained from being taught the move and then the Pokemon is able to unleash the move.

Yeah thats about it, yes I`m aware there other kind of moves in the Pokemon universe however I never really understood the point of them so I am not using them in this story

Chapter 2 Trouble on Route 1

Route 1, the start of every trainer’s journey when they leave behind Pallet and like so many other before Mitsuko has set foot upon the route alongside Severus, the two had been walking down the route for a while now keeping a look out for Pokémon and talking though so far the two friends hadn`t seen head nor tail of a Pokémon at all and Mitsuko was getting a bad feeling, the route was far to quit for her liking.

“I really don`t like this Severus, we should have seen at least a Rattata by now, it far to quit and…I don`t know what it is but there is just something about it all that makes me feel. Uneasy” Mitsuko stated, “now master, I`m sure nothing’s wrong, the Pokémon must just be…” Severus began but the rest of sentence, caught in his throat, when the white form of a Moewth came out of the bushes and looked at the two companions before Severus barked loudly and began chasing it with Mitsuko immediately setting off after her friend.

“Severus stop!” Mitsuko yelled as she kept following her friend, but he ignored her completely, not that Mitsuko blamed him, he was just a pup after all, however Mitsuko came to a sliding stop when Severus practically ambushed her, “Mitsuko, we have to do something quickly!” he said, his voice high-pitched in what Mitsuko was guessing was fear, before he looked over at the Meowth, “tell her what you told me” he said, and Mitsuko noticed that the Moewth had an expression of fear on its face as well.

“Yes. I`ve been living on this route for a couple of years, ever since my band of Meowth migrated here. I was young and well I didn`t quite agree with some of their rules, I found a friend in a Rattata and its family, which is against the rule of my band, they see Rattata as food but things were going fine until today, they found out about me, I`ve been exiled from the band and now their making their way to the Rattata and its family, they’re going to kill them, please you have to help me!” the Moewth said, “lead the way” Mitsuko stated, voice serious as she watched the Moewth turn and run, she followed quickly with Severus speeding past and keeping pace with the Moewth.

“The home of the Rattata family isn’t far from here, we might be able to get there before the band arrives” the Meowth said before the shrill, fearful cries of Rattata echoes from nearby, “no, they’re already there!!” the Moewth screeched, hearing as Mitsuko speed up behind her grapping both her and Severus in her arms as she ran past before she came to a screeching halt infront of a scared family of Rattata, and a band of Moewth. One of which had obviously already attacked the Rattata family judging by the blood around its mouth and the large wound on one of the Rattata.

“So the traitor returns and she brings humans with her too” the largest Moewth, which Mitsuko guessed was the leader, said however the Moewth with Mitsuko had no time to talk before Mitsuko spoke up, “You have no right to attack these Rattata or exile this Moewth just for being friends with them, I know your Pokémon and all and need to eat but it still don`t give you the right to attack them or exile her!” Mitsuko said with a growl, “well look who`s talking human. You capture our kind just to make us fight other humans against our will!” the leader hissed earning a death glare from Mitsuko, “I would never catch a Pokémon against its will” Mitsuko stated before a smirk spread on her lips, “but off course if you are so stubborn. How about you fight Severus…unless off course you’re too scared that I might catch you” she said smirking, “I`M NOT SCARED OF ANYTHING!” the leader yelled in a rage fit before calming down, “but to make our little battle more exciting how about this, if I win my band and I get to do what we want to the Rattata and you and the traitor leaves but if you by some of chance win we leave and wont harm the Rattata ever. Off course the traitor is still exiled” he said earning an agreeing nod from Mitsuko.

“Master, I hope you know what you’re doing with this” Severus said a slight doubt in his voice, however Mitsuko kneeled down and leaned in, “the lead Moewth is cocky, he think he`s perfect and unbeatable, usually someone like that forgets they still have to be careful and make mistakes or don’t dodge or something” she whispered in his ear before standing up and walking back a few feet, watching the lead Moewth get into battle position.

“Time for you to feel my claws little Growlithe!” he said before he ran towards Severus, a paw raised, claws extended and ready to scratch, “Severus jump to right and use ember” Mitsuko ordered and Severus jumped to right avoiding the incoming Moewth before he opened his mouth a let loose a few small flames that hit the Moewth, in the right side leaving behind a burn and causing the Moewth to yelp in pain before turning against Severus anger in its eyes.

“You’re going to pay for that” it hissed before it ran at Severus once more, this time however Mitsuko was to slow to react before the Meowth managed to bite Severus right front leg, “Severus, aim for his tail and bite back” Mitsuko ordered, Severus turned his head around and sunk his fangs into the tail of the Moewth, who in turn in release with a loud yelp as Severus let go of his tail.

The Meowth raised its paw again and once more went in aiming to scratch Severus in the face, “Severus let him get a bit close and then hit him with an ember attack” Mitsuko ordered and Severus waited and then just as the Meowth was about to come in and bring down his claws on Severus face, Severus opened his mouth and let loose another burst of small flames that hit the Meowth straight in the face, sending it back a little leaving it to stand there panting, the burn from before adding pain as well.

“Severus we almost got him down now. Hit him with a bite attack” Mitsuko ordered and she watched as Severus ran towards the Meowth which was coming at him with its paw raised once more aiming to scratch Severus across the chest however just as the Moewth was about to bring its paw down Severus bit its paw, causing the Meowth to fain and Mitsuko to cheer, while the other Moewth hurried over to help their leader before they hurried away, one of them turning around, “you won, we shall leave but trust us if we ever come across one another you will not be so lucky” it warned before turning around and running off.

Mitsuko smiled and turned to the Rattata and the Meowth…or rather just the Meowth, which was now crying on the ground and Mitsuko kneeled down to it and looked at her, “what`s wrong? What happened to the Rattata family?” she asked, “they left. Said they couldn`t trust me any longer, I brought the band here they said and I brought a human, told me to get lost, they don`t want to see me ever again. And then they left to find a new place to stay here to make sure I wouldn`t find them again. Now I have nowhere to go” the Meowth said.

Mitsuko picked her up and looked at her, “yes you do…if you want, you can come with us would you like that?” Mitsuko asked kindly, stopping the Meowths tears and having it look at her with eyes full of hope, “you mean it. Really?” it asked receiving agreeing nods from both Severus and Mitsuko, “then I`ll go with you, it`ll be good for me to get away from everything” it said.

Mitsuko put her down and got out a Pokeball, placing it on the ground, “just press that white button there and it will be official” Mitsuko said and the Meowth did as told, being sucked into the Pokeball which lay on the ground, shaking three times before the ding of the capture sounded and Mitsuko picked up the ball and released the Meowth.

“Now first my name is Mitsuko and as you guessed the Growlithe is Severus, now we need to find you a name…hmmm…how about…Hermione?” Mitsuko asked earning a nod “sounds good Mitsuko. I mean if I can call you Mitsuko?” Hermione asked, “Yes it`s all right. Severus only calls me master because he doesn`t feel comfortable by calling me Mitsuko. Now we head for Viridian city and after that Viridian forest. Hopefully with the migrating of Pokémon from this region to other routes that where they are usually found we`ll be able to find a grass or water type or we might be in trouble with Pewter gym” Mitsuko said and the three companions set their course for Viridian city

Chapter 1: Late begginings

The sun had risen in the sky over the town of Pallet, most people where slowly getting out of their beds and preparing for a normal day of work, but in one home, this day would be very special, because the youngest inhabitant of the home, was about to head out on her journey, true she started 8 years later than most trainers whom started at ten but it didn`t matter to her, she was just eager to get started now, she had packed everything she needed on the journey the day before and set her alarm clock to go off a bit earlier than what was really needed, which would mean the alarm clock would be setting of right about now.

The loud barking of a Poochyena started up low but got louder and louder, the longer it went on, sadly however it didn`t wake the girl it was supposed to wake instead however it awoke a Manetric, that didn’t enjoy being woken up at 7 am in the morning and the longer the alarm clock kept going the more annoyed it got, “all right that`s it, I’m shutting that damn thing up” the Manetric growled before sending a jolt of electricity towards the Alarm clock, causing the thing to have a melt down and shut up and a smile to spread upon the lips of the Manetric before he went back to sleep, blissfully unaware of the screeching and angered shouting that would wake him up later.

“ZEVRAN, YOU COMPLETE IDIOT!!!” the angered shriek of his masters daughter once more rose the Manetric from his sleep, his eyes falling on the form his masters daughter racing around her room in nothing but her underwear, as she found her clothes, her red hair with the black highlights a complete mess, “don`t call me an idiot, I only shut up your noise thingy” Zevran responded before he shrank into madras when the girls eyes was in his face, glaring daggers from the normally gentle blue eyes, “yes like your normally do but today was..Is important, today is the day I`m supposed to start my Pokémon Journey and now because of you I`m an hour later, I was supposed to be there at 8!!” the girl growled before she disappeared into the bathroom to get ready leaving behind a rather guilty looking Zevran.

The girl came out not five minutes later, her hair now up in a braid and herself glad in a white tank top with a Growlithe print, a pair of black jeans and red trainers, “Mitsuko I…” Zevran began but a warning glare in his direction from the tanned girl quickly shut him up, before she disappeared out the door of her bedroom, her feet carrying her quickly down the stairs and past her mother, “morning mom bye mom, no time to talk, Zevran destroyed my alarm clock…again!” the girl explained in her hurry before the door shut behind her.

“She forgot her backpack” the mother noted, looking towards the Rattata backpack, her daughter had placed by the door the evening before so it would be ready for today, “seems like lateness runs in this family” the mother mused before she turned towards the stairs and headed up, she had to have a talk with her Manetric.

Meanwhile outside the girl was running down the path from her home in Pallet town towards the Pokémon lab, Pallet town had grown some since the girl’s father had returned as the Unova champion years ago, even the house where he lived had become bigger, something her father had chosen to do when he found love in his old childhood friend Sarah Jones and they had their daughter, the daughter that was currently running like a bat out of hell towards the lab.

“This is going to end just like father I just know it, all the true starter Pokémon will be gone and I`ll end with something newly caught Pokémon…I just hope it won`t be as bad as his Pikachu was to begin with” The said to herself, remembering the stories his father had told her of his adventures as a Pokémon trainer, which had only fueled her desire to become a Pokémon trainer herself…right up until the day her father vanished without a trace at her tenth birthday, this was what had held her back the past 8 years, before she had decided that she would go on a journey, not only because she wanted to for her love for Pokémon but because she hoped that she could somehow find something the police had missed when they were searching for her father and her mother had been ecstatic when she told her she would go on her journey now and preparations had been made, which now came to nothing thanks to Zevran destroying her alarm clock.

Her thoughts straying elsewhere Mitsuko had stopped paying attention to where she was running, which send her running straight into something and sending her flat on her butt, looking up quickly and about to give whoever it was in her way a go, her mouth quickly snapped shut when she discovered she had arrived at the lab and that she had run straight into Professor Oak.

“I was starting to wonder when or if you`d get here at all Mitsuko, seems like being late is a family weakness” the Professor said with a gentle smile, the professor had been her father rival when they were younger, before the two had become fast friends, he had been a trainer at first, started his journey at the same time as Mitsuko`s father before he had become a Proffesor working in the different regions, before he had returned to Pallet to take over from his grandfather who had passed away 4 years earlier after he suffered from a heart attack.

“I am sorry Professor I would have been earlier but Zevran destroyed my alarm clock again…please tell me you still have a Pokémon left for me” Mitsuko said, looking at the professor with pleading eyes causing him to laugh, “well I don`t have any of the normal starters left, however I do have a Pokémon I think you`ll like, come along” the Professor said leading Mitsuko into the lab.

The professor led Mitsuko to the table where the Pokémon was kept and gestured to the fourth Pokeball on table before quickly covering his ears, knowing what Mitsuko`s reaction would most likely be when she revealed the Pokémon inside the Pokeball.

Mitsuko reached out a shaky hand, picked up the Pokeball and threw it into the air and in a white light a Growlithe materialized from the ball, looking at Mitsuko with curious eyes before it cowered when Mitsuko squealed in delight, “EHHH; I GET A GROWLITHE, SO ADOARABLE; EHHHHH” she squealed before noticing the Professor with his ear covered and the cowering Growlithe, “sorry” she said, her cheeks taking on a light red twinge of embarrassment, “it`s all right, I know you like Growlithe” the Professor said with a smile, as Mitsuko turned back to watch her new Growlithe, kneeling down to eye level.

“So...you’re my new master?” the Growlithe asked, “yes I am little one” Mitsuko said, watching the Growlithe stand and look at her proudly, “I promise I`ll make you proud of me master, I won’t abandon you no matter what” it said before jumping down from the table, “Shall we go then master?” it asked as Mitsuko stood back up, “yes, we have a long way ahead of us and I need to go back home and pick up my backpack, forgot it in my hurry. Bye Professor Oak” she said before leaving the lab and heading back towards home.

“I need to give you a name…hmm…judging by your voice you’re clearly male so…how about Severus?” Mitsuko asked looking at the Growlithe walking beside her, “I like that name, it sounds cool Master” the Growlithe said, “and will you please call me Mitsuko” Mitsuko asked, “I prefer to call you master, it feels wrong to call you by name Master” the Growlithe said, earning a slight sigh from Mitsuko, “oh well, wouldn`t want to make you uncomfortable Severus” Mitsuko said.

The two arrived at Mitsuko`s home a short while later, Mitsuko had spent the walk explaining to Severus why she was going on this journey and Severus had listened, hanging on Mitsuko`s every word, “this is my home” Mitsuko said as she opened the door to the house and walked inside with Severus in two.

“Hello Mitsuko, is that your new Pokémon?” her mother greeted the two when they stepped inside, “yes, this is Severus” Mitsuko said as she picked up her backpack and put it on her back as her mother walked up to her, “I`m so proud of you from doing this honey” she said giving Mitsuko a hug, “I know mom, now Severus and I had better be off before we lose too much daylight, I’d rather not travel in the dark. Bye mom” Mitsuko said before she and Severus left her home once more.

“So where too first Master?” Severus asked, “We have to go to route 1 and look for new Pokémon for our team and then we will arrive in Viridian city” Mitsuko said, “let’s go Severus” she said and the two headed of, taking their first steps on their Pokémon journey

Story info

So I decided I should give you guys some more information about this story other than what is hinted in prolouge.
So as stated this is set years into the future so the chars of the anime are now either grownup or reaching old age and some of the gyms will have gotten new leaders, also Pokemon from all the diffrent regions have migrated to the other regions so you will see Pokemon from Unova for example in Kanto living in the wild or beloning to other trainers however our Heroin is going to focus on getting Kanto Pokemon.
Also in the story we have a new object similiar to the poketech, this is called a Pokecell and as the name suggests its based on a cellphone, an iphone to be exact, it comes in diffrent colours and like with the other object before it you can get various apps added, the basic starting app is off course the ability to call people and the ability to text them.
Also in this story our heroin can understand Pokemon so human and poke speech will be done in two seprate texts which is the following:

Prolouge

An old prophecy foretells the coming of a new team arisen to spread evil across the different regions of the Pokémon world, their beginning coming in Kanto when their leader overthrew Giovanni and forced the members of Team rocket to join his own team of, Team Dark.

The team knew of the prophecy and it foretelling of all the trouble the would rise in Kanto and their successful capture of the legendary Pokémon Mew, a Pokémon they used for a brainwashing machine, using Mews psychic abilities to fuel the machine.

The team, when this was a success began abducting famous trainers from past and present, among them Ash Ketchum, a trainer that had earned the title of Unova champion years prior to team beginning, making him a young man when he was taken, a young man with a wife and child.

The team and their leader now believe that nothing can ever stop; they now believe that their victory is within reaches, but they have only heard half of the prophecy that foretells of their coming.

The other half of the prophecy foretells that a young woman and daughter to one of the abducted trainers will come when the time seems most dark and free Mew from the team and that she is special because she was born with ability to understand and talk the language of Pokémon and that she, through this would have the aid of one of the legendary Pokémon of Kanto.

This heroin is currently sound asleep in her bed in Pallet town, kanto, completely unaware of what she will do, she only knows that when morning comes around, she will begin her very own Pokémon journey, 8 years later than her father when her father started but she dreams of her future adventures and of what Pokémon she will choose when she goes to see the Professor…
